Heat Maps

Heat Maps are charts that I use to measure my consistency of a habit over the course of the year. Each column represents 1 week, each row represents a day of the week.

I had made a daily routine of Coding, Reading, Writing and studying flashcards for nearly an entire year, which began in the summer of last year. I stopped using the digital tracking system and started traveling and switching my systems at the beginning of the summer so I thought it was improtant to mention that.

After summer I started using a paper system and hanging it on a bulatan board in my room. I've found that having the paper system, which I can see all the time, works better than the digital system that I could only see when I opened my computer.

I also found that trying to maintain hobbies, as habits, while it was helpful to stay consistent, but a different kind of pressure that made my hobbies feel like work. I switched to having healthy habits as what I wanted to track in the last quarter of the year, and I felt a much more positive pressure with maintaining them, compared to my hobbies.

Drawing/Animation

For the first 100+ days of the year I had maintinaed a streak of doing at least a 5 minute drawing everyday.
